CARE AND MAINTENANCE

The stainless steel components of the Midnite MiniChamp are tempered, annealed, and polished to achieve optimal hardness and corrosion resistance. To re-sharpen the blade, use a whetstone at a 15°–20° angle, resulting in a 30°–40° cutting edge. If sharpening on a grinding wheel, be sure to cool the blade with water to avoid damage from excessive heat.

To prevent the blades from sticking together, open and close them in warm water several times. Once dry, apply a drop of Swiss Army Knife Oil between each tool and its spring. Avoid placing Swiss Army Knives in the dishwasher.

HISTORY AND HERITAGE

The origins of the Swiss Army Knife can be traced back to 1884, when Master Cutler Karl Elsener opened a cutlery shop in Ibach, Switzerland.
